In 1980, we held our first state pool tournament and in 1985 we followed with our first state dart tournament. MOMA is dedicated to the recognition, promotion, and growth of competition statewide. We have grown to have our members not only in Minnesota but also in the surrounding states of North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, and Wisconsin.
MOMA is an association founded in 1968 on the idea of operators of coin-operated amusement machines coming together for the greater good of our industry on a social and business level. MOMA promotes high business and ethical standards by encouraging cooperation between members. We hope to grow dart and pool competition in the state of Minnesota, which will help bars and taverns prosper.

Our charitable contributions also include raising money for breast cancer awareness. In 2015, MOMA hosted a "Save the Rack" 9-Ball pool contest at our annual state tournament that raised $1,000. All of this money was donated to the American Cancer Society Breast Cancer Unit, Duluth Chapter.
The 2015 MOMA Scholarship Fundraiser was held in February in Duluth, MN. Through random raffle ticket drawings, we raised $6,000 towards the scholarship program which will be awarded to children of MOMA members' companies or participants in leagues are also eligible to apply.
More than $100,000 in scholarship funds have been awarded to over 100 deserving college-bound students. The support is need- and merit-based and the recipients are the college-ready children of those in our industry who would like to realize their dream of a college education. It's our goal to help make the cost more manageable and make more scholarships available.
